Department of Health and has
been practicing since 2003. She received her training from
Therapeutic Body Works in
San Antonio and Lauterstein-Conway School of Massage in
Austin.
Originally from Fredericksburg, TX, Rebecca relocated to
Austin in January of 2004 to
expand her education in both Massage and Oriental
Medicine. Before beginning her
career in massage, Rebecca worked in the Western Medical
field as an assistant for
local Ophthalmologists and later as a Nurse Aid. While
working as a Nurse Aid at the
local hospital, she found her most satisfactory moments in
aiding those in need and
providing them comfort. Through this she discovered that
she held a desire to help
others not only when they've fallen ill, but to help them
prevent illness and lead more fulfilling lives.
Rebecca specializes in Deep-Tissue Massage and Structural
Bodywork. The approach
of Structural Bodywork is to address pain by concerning
the entire body, movement
habits, past surgeries or traumatic events, and the
emotional state. She has also received training and
experience in treating the elderly, children (pediatrics),
pregnant women, and athletes.
